From June 18 to 20, 2019, the 19th World Pharmaceutical Raw Materials China Exhibition will be held in Shanghai Pudong New International Expo Center as scheduled. This exhibition will cover all 17 pavilions for the first time, creating the strongest lineup in history! More than 3200 exhibitors from home and abroad gathered to display their quality products and innovative technologies. This year, BPI's exhibition booth is located in w4A96. In order to better welcome guests from all parties, BPI has greatly upgraded the booth this year and participated with R&D and factory teams. It can be seen that it attaches great importance to the "largest pharmaceutical event" in China and even the world. The first day of the exhibition coincided with the first day of plum blossom in Shanghai. It rained heavily, but it did not hinder customers. BPI booth attracted many exhibitors to consult at the first time.

●Challenges are pouring in●

      In 2019, in the 4 + 7 environment, in the "race" of Chinese medicine and under the national strategy of "green mountains and green waters", more and more enterprises need to reposition themselves and find directions, accompanied by greater and more challenges. First of all, the top priority is safety and environmental protection. At present, the API industry has become a gathering ground for talents and equipment. We must increase investment in all aspects to ensure the basic requirements of safety and environmental protection. Secondly, due to the high requirements of safety and environmental protection, the production capacity of basic raw materials has been reduced, the prices of many raw materials have risen seriously, and the capital turnover cycle has been greatly prolonged. In addition, the overall labor cost will increase. On the other hand, facing the broader overseas market, more and more domestic enterprises want to reach cooperation with overseas enterprises. Overseas enterprises attach great importance to the compliance and consistency of safety production. In addition to their own R & D and production capacity, they also put forward higher requirements for the improvement and grinding of details.

●Challenges and opportunities coexist●

   In the 4 + 7 environment, it also brings transformation opportunities for many enterprises. They layout in advance, seize the first generic drug, build the patent database of the original drug, layout the patent in advance, strengthen investment, strive to be the first generic drug and seize the market. In addition, it is also an optional path to lay out upstream raw materials, control the supply of raw materials, reduce dependence on upstream API, control profit control points, form an integrated whole industry chain of raw materials + preparations, and share the risk of price reduction. For BPI, it has always been a long-term goal to lay out high-end generic drugs, dig deep into green production routes and improve product quality. Therefore, BPI has also actively promoted more CDMO / CMO development.

●Increase the height of platform construction●

BPI and its member enterprises Anhui Biocompounds Chemicals Co., Ltd., Anhui Envii Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. and Anhui  Biocompounds Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. jointly build a green pharmaceutical platform. Among them, two factories located at the east end of Anhui Province occupy more than 400 mu of land and are qualified to use a variety of dangerous chemicals and drugs. On this basis, we will increase investment and cooperate with the most advanced design platform in China to mark the initial design of the process route with the brand of "green", "safe", "efficient" and "personnel friendly", Build a API production platform with high specification and high starting point. In this exhibition, we had in-depth discussions with CDMO customers of major domestic pharmaceutical factories and original research factories in Japan, South Korea, Europe and the United States, and discussed the development of a series of customized businesses. BPI has carried out the construction of the latest GMP workshop, and the application of API has been launched simultaneously in "Shanghai-Anhui-Jinhua". BPI has always been strict with itself in the compliance and consistency of safety production, which determines the height of the construction of pharmaceutical platform. I believe this is also an important reason why domestic and foreign customers choose North Carolina. Through this exhibition, BPI will seize the existing opportunities and summarize the new development direction of the industry, so as to lay a solid foundation for future development.
